If This Were Easy…

Oww.

Filed under: health, wall standing — Easy @ 9:27 pm

I did my wall standing today and boy are my arms tired.

Is that how the joke goes?

Seriously, I’d forgotten that wall standing is actually hard. That might be why I stopped doing it.

On the other hand, while I was at dinner today, I found it easier to sit up straight than to slouch, so maybe it’s better living through pain?

  1. do you have a link for instructions on how to do wall standing?

Between injuries as a teen when I was skating (roller speed skating) and my car accident 3 years ago, I have back, neck, shoulder problems. actually, my entire left side of my body is messed up, including a pinched nerve from my neck down my left arm (car accident) and insanely bad TMJ in my jaw on the left side.

I’m so tired of being in pain, and I can’t afford physical therapy or massage therapy or a chiropractor, so I gotta start doing more on my own.

‘if only if were that easy’ 🙂

  2. Hi, Lauree, I don’t, but it’s pretty easy.

The basic goal is to flatten your upper back, neck and arms against the wall. Your arms should be raised up so that your upper arms are parallel to the floor and your lower arms are bent perpendicular.

Are you going to be at TF? I can demonstrate if required.

  3. Sadly, no TF for me this year, due to schedule conflicts and lack of funds.

just went to dr. yesterday and it looks like I not only have a pinched nerve in my neck, but I could potentially have one in my lower back now. ugh.
